A Good Painting to Me Has Always Been like a Friend. It Keeps Me Company, Comforts and Inspires.

1. A famous American poet Longfellow wrote in his poem "Psalm of life" eternal and truthful words: "Art is long and life is fleeting".

2. We can't say that the sense of this quotation is wrong as time passes quickly, everything changes, but art always stays in fashion.

3. The reason for that is obvious- art reflects life, but mostly its beautiful parts.

4. And as we know the thing of beauty is a joy forever.

5. Genuine art appeals to our hearts and minds, to our feelings and ideals.

6. Our life seems to be impossible without it.

7. Art plays an important role in our inner development, penetrates into all spheres and sides of our reality and makes it brighter, richer and more intellectual..

8. It aids the people`s understanding of their culture.

9. No doubt tastes should be developed through images of high artistic culture, whereas works of popular culture as a rule meet consumer`s tastes.

10. In my opinion the habit of looking at good pictures is in itself a means by which taste can be formed.

11. Art allows people to talk about emotionally meaningful experiences, offers us not only pleasure and amusement but it is also a vehicle of culture and education.

12. We can't stay indifferent towards it, as art enchants, gives our life a new sense, a fresh breath of air, knocks at the doors of our soul and washes away from it the dust of everyday life, bringing bright colours and awaking powerful emotions.

13. Art unites different people, influences the development of personality, makes our inner world richer, and feels our soul with different feelings.

19. Of course al of arts are unique and breathtaking, but, to my mind, one of the most precious and interesting is painting, because it helps us to see the beauty of plain things around us, shows us how the artist perceives the reality, displays feelings.

20. Every artist tries to develop his own style to differ from other ones.
