We as humans are imperfect, and therefore live in an imperfect society and governmental system, though try as we might, we will never be able to have a perfect government. In this paper I will be addressing the largely debated topic of public education systems in the U.S, which is in definite need of approval. The three points I will be addressing are the problems in the educational systems, the problems that have arisen because of our current educational system and a plan in order to fix those inherent problems.

The education of America's children is a hefty variable in the success of America tomorrow. Unfortunately the American educational system is actually unconstitutional and unfair in form. It is unconstitutional because it has been placed under the federal government instead of the state government. The constitution clearly states that all issues not addressed in the constitution will be handled by the states individually, but as we know that is not the case with our educational system in America today. Our children's education in under the federal government and therefore doesn't give the states much choice as to what curriculum their children will be taught, how their children will be punished in school, what they are fed, etc. It is unfair in the way teachers are paid. The amount of years you spend in college learning to be a teacher and the amount of experience you have as a teacher are factors in personal payment, but in my opinion the quality of the teacher is a more important issue. A person may be really experienced in teaching and have a whole bunch of degrees but still may be a really bad teacher. I think the quality of a person's abilities should also be factored in to a teacher's salary, and as a significant part at that.

You can easily turn in the news at any time of day and hear the problems that have arisen in our educational system. According to statistics in 201, in America there is a 25% drop out rate for high school students. These high school drop outs are costing Americans $320 billion and $350 billion annually in lost wages, taxable income, health, and welfare and incarceration costs. High school drop outs are also not eligible for 90% of the jobs available in the country and have therefore become a large role in the unemployment rate and the national debt. The No Child left behind program has also done much harm in our schools. Teachers have let their students cheat, in order that they get better test grades and therefore will allow their schools to get more funding, because of their higher test scores. This program has not only involved dangerous competition in our school systems, but has also made America forget what the prime purpose of the education system, which is learning and knowing information. This program has turned school into a monotonous, tedious task. It has taken the charm and love that so many students had from learning, evidence of this is the extremely
