Reading and Writing has always been an enjoyment for me and an obstacle. Starting from elementary school where my first encounters with literacy were pretty good. My Kindergarten teacher made reading and writing and learning fun she would always have a song and her guitar for everything we learned and it made me want to learn more. As for the rest of elementary my experiences with reading and writing wasn't as fun, but they did teach me a lot. They would teach me things from my alphabet to learning how to spell a word, to improving my penmanship. Each one of my teachers from my elementary school were the first to help me build the steps to help me what I know now about reading and writing.

Middle school came and it was very different and it was a totally different learning environment for me. The assignments I got were hard for me at the time and I thought I would never be able to finish them. Through each grade I learned to pick up different skills like being organized or being timed on my writing to make my assignments easier for me and less difficult. Each teacher had a different learning technique for the class to improve their reading and writing skills and as I went from different grades I began to learn new things. My sixth grade teacher Ms.Maldonaldo would have the class write in our journals everyday about what we did that day or anything exciting that happened and I think it really helped me a lot because I had a lot to share and it helped me want to write more. My seventh grade teacher Ms.Reznicoff was a really great teacher as well she mainly focused on helping me and others improve our grammar and helping us write and structure our essays. I think the most influential person in middle school was my 8th grade teacher Mr. Solis because his class was really fun he would have us do different assignments like about animal rights and others like the John Lennon or he would have us do essays about important issues in the environment. They were always fun topics that I could write a lot about and easily finish.

As I entered high school I must say I was pretty intimidated when I first walked in my English class because I felt like everyone was smarter and I felt completely lost I had never really felt that way before it was a completely foreign feeling to me, but then I realized I wasn't alone each person was going through the same thing and would have to face the same obstacle as me because we all had the same assignments. My ninth grade teacher Ms. Garcia taught me everything and more I could possibly know about English. She would have me and the class do so many assignments and read so many books. We read books like Animal Farm by George Orwell, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and Always Running by Luis Rodriguez. She would have us do essay's and vocabulary and have us analyze everything in the book. I think that's what made her a good teacher because
