As the names of these genres suggest, romanticism is noticeable by the supernatural, by circumstances and individuals that were flawless and out of this world (Krammer 1). While both movements tended to use the observed world as their subject, Realism is a better alternative to Romanticism because it demonstrates the reality of human existence.

In terms of stylistic features both movements relied on individualism and uniqueness. Moreover, a bulk of both paintings and art works are unplanned and unprompted. He transformed his paintings to his every day daily life. As a kid he discovered his passion for genre painting, due to the custom of romanticism in Seville.
