2. Demonstrate the ability to champion ethical, sustainable and innovative business practices

3. Demonstrate the ability to leverage technology in order to take advantage of global business opportunities

4. Demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing

MBA 540 Course Description and Outcomes

Our approach to ethics will be both applied and topical, and will include the history and theories of business ethics. Each class session will relate to readings from assigned text readings, articles, case studies, and exercises. The attached schedule contains the topics that will be covered in class. We will focus on four primary outcomes for participants in this course:

1. Provide students with an understanding of the ethical problems faced by people in organizations and businesses today.

2. Provide a framework for recognizing ethical problems, being able to determine how decisions will affect people positively or negatively.

3. Convey a means of analysis of ethical problems to allow students the ability to make better judgments about what is right and fair, and to take action on their decisions.

4. Allow students to gain confidence in their understanding and their proposed solutions for ethical issues; that is, to be able to forcefully and reasonably defend their point of view.
