It was a bright sunny day and Lara was reading "The Ultimate Gift" while sitting under a big shaded tree at the park. She was wearing her reading glasses and a glass of wine was next to her. She was so deep in her reading that she didn't realize there was a pair of eyes was watching her. Suddenly her sunlight was blocked by a person. Lara looked up and didn't believe what shes looking at. Those brown hair, hazel eyes, and sincere smile, it was Ryan! Her long lost friend. Although he has changed but Lara still recognize those smiles. Lara was so happy and shocked. It has been 5 years since they last meet. Lara got up and quickly hugs Ryan. Those warm tight hug that Lara missed so much was finally happening. "Oh my god Ryan! I can't believe it's really you" Lara said. "It me Lara. I'm back" Ryan replied. Lara took her things and said "you are not going anywhere tonight. You are having dinner with me back at home. I'm cooking chili's while you tell me where you have been all this years". Ryan didn't able to turn down the invitation as Lara already drags him back.

An awkward moment was there and luckily it was saved by the chicken timer. "Finally the chicken is ready. Let's have dinner. I'm starving!" said Lara. As Lara brings out the chicken from the oven Ryan was already at the dining table preparing others. The dinner was their first step to catch things up after so long being apart. They laughed, they giggle, they argued and they had fun. It was just like old times but better. Much better. They didn't talk about where and why Ryan went off 5 years ago but they talked about many other stuff. Stuff that connects them together. Stuff that only both of them would really understand. And stuff that Lara misses so much to talked about. Ryan has always been Lara's shoulder to cry on, a place for her to let out her feeling and a buddy to talk too. Their friendship were too strong to break the comfort that they have on each other even it has been years since they last meet.

Since that dinner both of them spent most of their time together. They had lunch, coffee, tea breaks, and dinner together every time they have the chance. And they never get bored of each other. It has been two weeks since Ryan came back and Lara has never been happier. Lara had started smiling and laughing more often now. Those sparks in Lara's eyes that were missing can now be seen again. Everyone started noticing the changes in her and wonder what was
