Introduction

As per the course requirement of our BBA Program "INTRODUCTION TO MANAGEMENT" F-108 we have studied the case told by our Honorable course teacher "Nausheen Rahman" .We have analyzed the Case of BISHOP PASTORAL on Catholic Social teaching and the U.S. Economy. We compare our theoretical knowledge on social responsibility& our learning from the analysis of the whole case. It will help us to know the different laws of USA & become aware of the responsibility of a manager of the organization. It also stretches our domain of knowledge by providing information on different managerial function & implications of manager for effectively & efficiently running of the Business organization. At Last we believe that this case study will prove beneficial for us in our future professional career.

AN IDEA ON THE CASE:

Catholic Bishops draft on social teaching and the US economy in 1984 was criticized for being too negative about the Free Market Economy in the US. So, they issued another draft with soft tone but having the same message. The second one focuses on the more humane society, adequate shares of the economic resources and governmental roles.

Here are some recommendations of the draft:

Pursue more fiscal and monetary policies for full employment.

Establishing more job creating programs

Remove employment barriers.

Reform the welfare system for poverty reduction.

Give emphasis on third world countries.

ANSWER 1:

If managers implement these recommendations in the organization, it will be beneficial for all the people. But, it is a hard task for managers to ensure that all of these recommendations will successfully be implemented.

Satisfaction-productivity relationship: Satisfaction-productivity relationships have important implications for managers. Managers generally give importance to the more productive employees.

Increasing productivity: Managers should pay more attention primarily to make the very unproductive group of employees more strong. Managers can establish more training opportunities for this perspective.
