When you think about sex, your first thought isn't to think about how other countries go about it. You are pretty much just told what is considered right or wrong in the country you grew up in. Sex Around The World makes it very clear that not every country has the same beliefs about sexual intercourse. Different countries have different views on what is considered the right time to have sex, opinions on homosexuality, the use of birth control and so on. It is very interesting to see all the different perspectives revolved around sex. What is believed to be acceptable or normal in your own country, may be completely unacceptable in another. Some people may think sex is simple, but really you may be taking a lot of risks.

I have decided to discuss sexual acceptances in the country known as Hungary. One thing I respect most about Hungary is the fact that 99% of the Hungarian population is covered for free health care. Hungary should not take this for granted. There's not many countries that provide free health care. In most countries such as the U.S. health care costs are through the roof. The outrageous costs of health care are simply just non affordable for a lot of people. Just imagine not being able to go to the doctors office because you can't afford to get yourself better. I personally think it is awful that costs of health care play such a big role in people's lives. No one can help getting sick, it is a natural thing that happens to everyone. Just because we may not all be able to afford it, doesn't mean we shouldn't get equal treatments in order to live a healthy life. Who knows, maybe people would live longer if they were given the best health care available.

In Hungary, the age of consent for sexual activity is at age 14. I am well aware that all teens are curious about sex, but 14 seems to be a little young to be involved in sexual activity beyond kissing. Granted this is how i feel about it, like I said earlier all countries have their own beliefs. To further my argument on this issue, I just don't think a 14 year is well enough educated in understanding the risks of sexual intercourse. When you are in your teens rumors spread like crazy. Most rumors about sex in high school are mostly untrue, but how would a 14 year old know this for sure? Of course parents are always there to fill you in on your concerns about sex, but most kids and parents don't sit down to have an in depth talk about sex. Not to mention, you should be having sex with another person who you truly care about, and also who truly cares about you and your feelings. Im not saying you are only going to have sex with one person your entire life, but you want your first time to be with someone you trust and feel completely comfortable with. With this said, we know how teenage relationships go. you date for a couple weeks and move on to your next crush the week after.
