Why Marijuana should be LEGAL!

Hi I am Wade Ludwick and I did my project on legalization of marijuana. I choose this topic because it is the largest cash crop now in the U.S. and here are a few reasons why it should be legalized.

There were 750,000 individuals arrested for possession of marijuana. All that time was wasted because there are still people driving drunk, selling hard drugs to teens. The illegality of marijuana makes it more valuable than if it were legal, providing opportunities for teens to make easy money selling it to their friends. It would also help teens to keep money in their pocket because the price of marijuana is up because it is hard to find and if it was legal they wouldn't have to go to a stranger to get pot. It would be safer and cheaper.

Legalized marijuana would reduce the flow of money from the American economy to international criminal gangs. Marijuana's illegality makes foreign smuggling to the United States extremely profitable. It would cut back so much money international drug lords make because people would just have to go to the store

You never hear about people smoking to much pot and getting in accidents. There are people going to bars and drinking alcohol and driving home and getting into car wrecks but it is legal for them to drink. I'm not saying It's legal for them to drive but what stops them from doing so the cops. There are not enough police officers to catch every drunk driver but they still try to catch people smoking pot, trying to have a good time but they can't because you can go to jail for doing so.

Marijuana use has positive attributes, such as its medical value and use as a recreational drug with relatively mild side effects. Many people use marijuana because they have made an informed decision that it is good for them, especially Americans suffering from a variety of serious illnesses.

Marijuana should be legal it has very mild side effects it is very hard to addicted to also it saves LIVES! Now that you know how I feel about the legalization of marijuana don't you want it to be legal too?
