Business Communication Trends

What role does business communication play in your day-to-day activities at work?

Effective business communication plays a major role in all day-to-day activities. Good communication skills are a requirement for the successful business. Effective daily communication with employees and the consumer helps to maintain a certain standard of living, trust, and goodwill.

"Poor communication can cost billions of dollars. Not all communication costs are so dramatic. When communication isn't as good as it could be, you and your organization pay a price in wasted time, wasted effort, lost goodwill, and legal problems," (Locker & Kienzler, 2008, p. 10).

I need to communicate with the students about the bus schedule and expected bus behavior. A salutation when the student loads and unloads, and a short personal conversation helps the student learn to trust and have faith in the driver. While it is not necessary for the student to like you, it is necessary for the student to respect you, as a driver and an adult.

Communication with the parents and teachers are also a must for a school bus driver. Parents like to know they can trust the driver with the most prized possession, their
