1. Introduction

Our business name Delicacies Dinning House. It is small business restaurant which involve in the food & beverage industry by selling the Chinese food. Founder of this restaurant is a Chinese which come from China, name Xin. The reason he open this restaurant is he hope that all the people in the Malaysia can enjoy the Chinese food of Delicacies Dinning House. The business start operated in 1 January 2010, which had been open for almost 5 years. The business consists of 5 shareholders as Xin is the major shareholder with 55% shares and others hold the 45% shares. The types of customer for this restaurant not only include family, now also consist of the teenagers and others. This business is suitable in using the social media to promote it business to increase its popularity and sales.

2. About social media

        Nowadays, social media is a common thing in this world. Social media is the one online communications channels based on input, information sharing, interaction and collaboration. Social media also have separate to six types, which are social networks, bookmarking sites, social news, media sharing, micro blogging and blog comments and forums.

        First, social networks sites are a one type of social media. The purpose of social networks is can let users to connect and share the information to people who have similar backgrounds. Facebook is the popular example of the social network.

        Next is bookmarking sites. Bookmarking sites allow users to save and organize links to any number of online resources and websites. These services is given for the user to tag links, it provide them easy to search some information they want. Stumbleupon is a popular example of bookmarking.

        Furthermore, social news also is the part of social media. This social news let users to post news links to outside articles. Users can vote the links, and the links which is highest of the votes are most prominently displayed. A popular example is Reddit.

        Besides that, media sharing websites allow users to share media, such as video and pictures. These sites offer users to create own profiles and the option of commenting in the uploaded images or video. YouTube is the good example of media sharing.

        Next, microblogging is allowing users to post short written entries. This can include links to product and service sites. People who follow or subscribed to that user account just can see the information for that user posted. Twitter is the popular example of microblogging.

        Last type about social media is blog comments and forums. These site is allows users to engage in conversations by posting and responding to community messages. Blog comments usually are to discuss around the topic of the blog post. Blogger is the popular example of the blogs and forums sites.        

In the conclusion, these are the six different types of social media, such as social networks, social news, bookmarking sites, media sharing, microblogging, and blog comments and forums. There all have their own function and services. However, social media can provide advantages for business also.

        Small-business owners can no longer to ignore, throw away, or treat social media as a supporting marketing tactic. In addition to customer gain and reservation, social media trends are play an important role in organic search engine optimization (SEO). These several social media trends will help strengthen your online presence.

        The first trend of the social media is social networks are becoming search engines. With Google or Yahoo indexing Facebook status, Tweets and contents from Google+, small businesses with a strong social media existence are getting a help in their search rankings. Based on the research, found out ten most important SEO ranking factors are related to social media, Google+ is the first at the top of the list.

        Next of the trend of the social media is the future is handheld. Nowadays, mobile apps not only to let users to text and make call connections without paying fees. And mobile apps are build a world that where the users favorite brands, publications and services integrated into one of which can be accessed anywhere in personalized packaging. Based on the research, found out the apps Snapchat launched with eleven major international publications to great acclaim and is planning for expansion. The function of Snapchat is can impact of bringing their products directly to their customers via messaging apps.

        The following trend of the social media is video marketing takes hold. Based on the research, found out YouTube has experienced explosive growth for a number of years. This is because small-business owners no need to take thousands of dollars to make advertisement, they can through YouTube to make video advertisement on free.

        In the conclusion, there are several trend of the social media, which are social networks are becoming searching engines, future is handheld and video marketing takes hold. Social media trends are now playing a huge role in organic SEO.

3. The Impact of using social media on the organization

Based on my research, I figure out that numerous organization as often as possible imagine that social media impact communication and relationships outside of the enterprise firewall, current data and studies have been display that organizations are affected by social media in all parts of their structure and culture.

There are some impacts of using social media on the organization. The first impact is a simple way to find out about organization audience. For an organization in any industry, knowing our audience is the way to success. This is possible making by social media, and easier to fulfill than any time in current memory. For instance, with tools like Facebook Insights in Delicacies Dining House can let us learn about the dominant languages spoken among social media audience, as well as their gender and age. In the past, marketers was faced the challenges about ensuring their content to the customers in the limited conceivable time. With the offer of social media, sharing content was easier and faster. While we using social media on the organization, especially for sharing content about our organization or for content curation, all we need to do is simply share it on our brand’s social network accounts and we have to make sure that the social media content aligns to our brand and interest the audience, so the customers will share the content with their followers (Adolutions.YP, 2013).
