Diversity influence in a Cooperation Project: Case Study of Mining Exploitation In The Democratic Republic of Congo by different Countries.

The Democratic Republic of Congo (D R Congo) is a central African country bordering

different nine countries. The estimated population number is 69 millions divided in 250 ethnic groups speaking more than 600 dialects. French is used as the official language in Congo where also the majority of its population are Christians (70%). It has been known by the world that DR Congo is home to a huge potential of natural resources and mineral wealth. However, this country remains poor with about $171 per capita annual income due to years of public resources mismanagement, corruption and unfinished war in the country (http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/2823.htm).

In recent years the Congolese government initiated new mining investment code to attract investors' jackpots from wealthy countries in order to help developement project in terms of finances. (Kolwezi_economic_developement and government).

As a result, Congo today is a scenario of international mining companies' presence from all over the world that have come to respond to Congolese government appeal.

Many countries have used their natural resources to improve their population standard of living. In Congo it is the contrary. The reason why this new pact between Congolese government and foreign companies (countries) aims to identify efficient and beneficial manner for a sustainable social and economic development in the country wronged by artisanal mining for decades.

Loo(2003) believes that it is very difficult for an organisation to have all the competence , means, knowledge, even contacts requiered to bring to the end a developement project. Traditional boundaries between countries's cooperation have become less considerable.

This work aims to get a better understanding of how different countries in

Congolese mining sector influence the work process in a cooperation project of extraction and how this could have impacts on the Congolese socio-economic development. Therefore it is important to stipulate that the work presented here does focus only on factors defining diversity on the basis of organisational cooperation, not on the group members' diverse backgrounds such as gender, culture, ethnicity, race etc. For example, in Congo mining companies have brought an advantageous asset that all participants focus on the target not on a specific organisation or means. Also it is believed that diversity of companies in Congo has its beneficial consequences such as new ideas, different opinions, different interests, motivational orientations and objectives.
