1. Why do people use Facebook and what do they do when they are there?

Previous studies have shown similarities, in some extent, between real personality and behaviors on Facebook. Extroverts tend to have more friends and higher engagement levels, while users considered as diligent, disciplined, or goal-oriented seem to use Facebook less. Nevertheless, Facebook has become an accepted means of communication. The followings are some common examples of the reasons members are on Facebook:

- To receive and share news: Unlimited information from different source of news can be found on Facebook and mostly from friends. Content are available from numerous categories and well-known media outlets to be read and shared.

- To keep being Updated: Another motive people go to Facebook is to find out what old or new friends and relatives are doing on daily basis. Facebook provides tools to follow people we are interested in and to keep you updated by their status.

- To overcome boredom: With Facebook, some people can be never alone these days. On Facebook, users can talk to others, play games, and watch pictures or videos. Facebook can host so many contents to consume and in such large numbers that members can be entertained for some time to come.

- To find and check people from the past: There are people from our past who we are not connected anymore, but we are still curious what they have been doing recently. There are great possibilities we can find most of them on Facebook, where gives service to almost one billion members.

- To investigate about people you don't know yet: There are people we would like to know more about, but other than using search engine, Facebook is another good place to gather further information.

- To look at employees we consider hiring: People from all classes, jobs and statuses use Facebook. Although, personal profiles can be configured to be private, but some information may show up on search engines.

- To Learn even more: In addition to numerous news form friends, there are countless groups that can provide us with more personal and targeted information if we become part of the network. We also have the opportunity to learn about acquaintances in such groups.
