a) Many children are sold into prostitution by their families for economic reasons. Most of the children involved do not resist. Explain why they accept their destiny in such a passive way.

The children that are sold into prostitution are very young children. And a little child has full faith and trust in their parents. If the parents tell their little children to do something, the child does it because a little child has full faith and he thinks that what his parents tell him to do is the best thing. So if a parent sells his children to prostitution the children thinks that that is the best thing and he accepts (full faith).

As a proverb says "the younger you are the more ignorant you are". Many of these children ignore what prostitution really is. They think that is something good because their parents told them so. But they ignore the real value.

But some of the children know what prostitution is, and the effects of prostitution, but they don't see any option apart from prostitution, it is their only way. They can't escape because they are too small and they don't have the support in their family so they just do it because they have to. They don't see any alternative choice. And they can't do anything to stop it.

Also the dealers before taking them to the prostitution market they talk with the children and try to convenience them. And many times the dealer lies and tells the children all kind of good things, so the little children believe what the dealer tells them.

These children know that their families are currently living on extreme conditions and very close to misery. These children love their family and they try to help them with everything, so they go into prostitution to try and make some money for the family. It is their love for the family that makes them go to prostitution to try to help.

b) The belief that children are less likely to be HIV positive is, in fact, false. Explain why.

Many people believe that children are less likely to be HIV positive which makes them think that sex with a child is safer. The truth is children are more susceptible to HIV because they are involved in the prostitution business. If someone sells children for sexual purposes to make their income, can you really believe their integrity when they say the child is a virgin or disease free? The more the children has sex the more possibility to be infected the children has.

Children are more likely to be HIV positive because they have immature tissue in their bodies that tears much more easily than that of adults. Girls may have reproductive problems due to the immaturity of their bodies when they become sexually active.

A virus doesn't know the age of the person. So a virus attacks in the same way adult and children, without making any difference. Virus is not intelligent persons witch disease not to attack
