Technical writing job is a very important job in an organisation because the person who is responsible for it has to design, create, and maintain technical documentation. The documentation may be related to online helps, user guides / manuals, white papers, design specifications, test plans, project plans and system manuals etc. In actually, The technical writer is not expert in any subject, but he has the ability to gather the information and produced it in well written documentation. So for learning technical skills, a person should learn the basics of technical writing. It can be done by acquiring certification or any other qualification related to technical writing. Besides that they should have to follow some suggestions –

• Ability to write clearly and in concise form– First of all, it is important for to learn how to write clearly and in concise form. So the message can be communicated clearly.

• The contents of the writing should make the sense – It is important to write in a way that makes the sense for the reader.

• Solid verbal and non-verbal interpersonal communication skill – How we behave or think, it comes in our writing. So a person should have c=good communication skills.

• Active listening and Interviewing skills – A person who want to learn technical skills need to acquire active listening and interview skills also.

• Design related technical skills - It is important to learn designing skills of writing and formatting the documents.
