To Whom It May Concern:

The East Baton Rouge School System is a wonderful opportunity to help to mold the future generation. I seek to join East Baton Rouge School System because I would like to give back to the community and be a major influence in the student's lives. I grew up in low-income area and single parent home in my childhood so I completely understand what these children are facing on a day-to-day basis. I would like to show these children that it is hope and never give up on their dreams. A quote that I live by is "never give up on your dreams or you will always work for someone who followed theirs."

As an East Baton Rouge School System member I would like to accomplish the task of teaching students the importance of an education. I would like to teach these students the importance of critical thinking, reading, comprehension, etc. A majority of these students need the motivation to continue to strive. Empowering these students beyond the levels that they are normal to would be a huge accomplish. In today's society receiving a higher education is becoming more of a requirement. Employers are searching for people who have higher educations to represent their company.

The way that I would determine my success as a East Baton Rouge School System member would be to see these students continue their education. To see them learn this material rather than remember it would be a major accomplishment. I would like to see these students go beyond elementary, middle, and high school onto college. Some of these students will be the first in their family to graduate from school. In closing, when I'm able to instill the power of learning in either 1 or 100 of these students, I still consider this a successful feat.
