I always dream of attending an exchange program to a foreign country in my school years. Traveling and studying in a new country give me new culture, language, country and a lifetime of opportunities. I really want to take this chance with lots of intentions to discover a country and myself in my own ways

In terms of culture, apart from some features which are similar to Vietnam, Korea also has lots of unique things to enjoy. When I go there, the first thing I have to do is trying on Hanbok- Korean traditional dress. It has been used for thousand years with various kinds and has vibrant colors and simple lines. I will take many photos with my friends to keep this memory. Besides, Korea is famous for its traditional cuisine. I have tried lots of Korean foods such as kimchi, tokbokki and so on in Vietnam but enjoying these dishes and others in the original country will bring special feelings. My friends and I can travel to big traditional markets with various sections or night street market to try hot tokbokki, Soju, fried chicken as a real Korean. In meal times, there are lots of etiquettes to stick to. Some of them may be far different from those in Vietnam but I think that they bring me new experiences and even appreciations from local people..

I have heard a lot about Koreans and watched many Korean films but this trip will give me real experiences about Koreans and their livings. They are usually nationalistic and stick to rules although some of them may be not suitable for recent pace of living. However, no one can deny their willing in lives and living with them will help me build a part of my character. Also, I can build lots of friendship with Korean students. I attended a program for exchange students in my university, all of them were very excited and curious about Vietnam when they were guided to go to famous destinations and enjoy traditional foods in Hanoi. In Korean, I hope that I can go to beauty spots in Daejeon, hike famous mountains and go camping with not only Vietnamese but also Korean friends who are very friendly and helpful and make my trip unforgettable.

The purposes of this exchange program are not only enjoying new lifestyles but studying my majority and improving my personalities. Korea has an advanced education curriculum which means I may access to new methods of learning and professional teacher who tend to focus on practical knowledge instead of theoretical ones and study with talented international students. Besides, living in a new country allows me to experience a bit of homesickness, culture shock but I can challenge myself, widen my perspective and become more confident and independent.

This six-month trip will impact on my life in various way : enjoying new culture, having new friendships, discovering myself to set my career goals and achieving personal growth. It will become an unforgettable part in my life and encourage me to take more risk, put outside of my comfort zone to try
