Vehicle Contract Letter

Smith Rentals hereinafter called "Owner" and Bardwell Group hereinafter called "Renter" agree upon the rental of an SUV for company use on the 15th of March 2011. The vehicle that the renter has agreed to rent is a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe with a beginning mileage of 55,000 miles. The owner represents that the vehicle is in safe and properly working condition without any known defects that would affect the normal use of this motor vehicle. The Owner agrees to rent the vehicle to the Renter for a period of 5 days from the days of March 15th at 9:00 am until March 20th at the close of business at 8:00pm. The Renter has shown proof of auto-insurance and that he or she shall fully indemnify the Owner of any damage to the vehicle by any circumstance except that of what is found to be caused by defect of vehicle. The Renter agrees to pay Owner a rate of $50 a day for a grand total of $250 for 5 days. Also gas will be paid by Renter and the vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas. The Renter agrees to a security deposit of $300 that will be credited to the payment of service or excess will be returned to the Renter if there is no damage or loss of vehicle. The Renter agrees that he or she shall not use the vehicle in any illegal activities, that they will not carry any passengers over the maximum capacity of the vehicle, and that the vehicle will only be operated by the person or persons who have signed this agreement. If this contract is breached the Renter agrees to an Arbitration Clause if a dispute arises.
