In our modern time, uncertainties are everywhere and our business organizations are no longer above of that. Organizations could be faced the lack of its qualified human resource, which is the main vein of the organization's progress and it might be not prepared for it. So, to recover these things organizations establish a proper and scientific selection process from where it can get a qualified work force for the organization.

Selection process consists of a series of steps, at each stage, facts may come light which may lead to the rejection of the applicant. It is a series of successive hurdles or barriers which an applicant must cross. In this series application form is the most useful and scientific instrument that used by many organizations to collect resourceful and trustworthy data which helps him to get a better employee for the organization. To understand the process of selection circulating in the organization continuously and the purpose of completing application form, it is very necessary to know what is application form and how it work.

Application form is a traditional and widely used device for collecting information from candidates. It is the most useful and quick process to collect fairly accurate and verifiable data from the candidates applies to the organization. It should provide all information relevant to the selection. Today most private organizations especially international organizations used application form in their selection process to fill the empty post create in the organization. However, information present in the application form for the candidates to fill is differing from organization to organization because it very much depends on the job nature, its criteria and the requirement of that organization. The purpose of the application form in the selection process is so remarkable. The prime objective of application form is to select a number of qualified candidates from the pool of candidates apply to get the job offer for the next stage of the selection process.

Discussing the main segment of the report that is completing application form comes after initial screening in the selection process. Candidates passed the initial stage are called to complete the application form. This may require only the candidate's name, address, and telephone number. Some organizations especially who want to capture a fully skilled personal may provide a more comprehensive application forms to create a strong employment profile. This kind of application form gives a concrete view of job performance of the candidates in the field of candidates' adult life, their skills, backgrounds, and their accomplishment to the employer.

Application forms can maintain some other information in the favor of the organization. This type of information must help the organization to find the best suitable applicant for the organization among the applicants applies. The other purposes of providing and completing proper application forms are:

 It gives a brief view to the candidates that the job require following directions and the individual fails to do so on the application; that is a job related reason for rejection.

 Applications require a signature attesting to the truthfulness of the information given and giving permission to check reference. If, at a later point, the company finds out the information is false, it can justify immediately dismissal.

 Application forms serve itself as a record of the employees. In future, any information needed regarding any of employees can easily find in hand by application forms.

 It requires the applicant to provide information sufficient to demonstrate that he or she is legally permitted to be employed.

 The application itself is a minor test of the applicant's literacy penmanship, and communication skills from that a careless job applicant might disqualify themselves with a poorly-filled out application.

Besides these favorable aspects of the application forms given already, it has some other quality that can say potential problems of the applications:

 Application form may accurately predict an applicant's ability to perform the job, but they are less successful in indicating the extent to which the individual will want to perform
