Education Changes Lives

In the movie A Small Act it talks about how one person can make a difference in someone's life. That someone happens to be Chris Mbuara from Kenya. Chris was a young man that was sponsored to go to secondary school to further his education. After Chris made it through secondary school, he went off to college and got his degree. In the movie Chris says, "Education is the only thing that can change your life." In my personal opinion, I agree that "education is the only thing that can change your life."

At a young age, we start to learn the difference between right and wrong. When a child's parent tells them that something they did was wrong or right it is a form of education. A child's parent is educating their young one on how to do the right things in life. For example, when I was a little boy my mother always told me not to talk to strangers. She was educating me on not to do such a thing because I don't know the person and he or she could kidnap and or harm me.

The things we learn on a day to day basis constantly causes' a change in someone's life. If we think about it, encouraging words that people may say to each other causes a change. In fact, the things that the President of the United States says in his speeches changes people lives. Another example would be, when I played football in high school. My coach always had a motivation speech before every game. That speech would always change the way we went into each game as a team. Small things like speeches and encouraging words go hand in hand with education changing someone's life.

Education changing lives also falls in the category of learning from someone's mistakes. The mistakes that people make change their future. Learning from these mistakes can also cause a change in their life. For example, drinking and driving. If someone were to get into an accident from drinking and driving, it causes a change in their thoughts about drinking and driving. They may learn from their mistake and never make a life threating mistake like that again. Often, the elderly learn to adapt to different things in their life. As they get older things start to change such as their health. Education starts at a young age and continues as we get older.

With education we have fully developed from children into adults. History taught us that education is important in our everyday life. Education is basically what we need to survive in the society. The people who followed Martin Luther King Jr. were educated every time he opened his mouth to speak. Their lives began to change because of what he stood for during that time. Certain views have caused history to repeat itself and education plays a big part in that.

In high school, students learn about the different events that changed the way life is today. The simple things like, Rosa Parks not giving
