What motivated me to enroll at GCU were my 2 boys. Sitting in the car with my two teenage boys on a Saturday drive and my sixteen year old son ask me when will I go back to school and I said I don't have time. My son (Kyle) said you need to make time and go back. Who is the dad here me or you. He said you should teach history like you have always talked about. I told him that was a great talk and I needed that and with a smile he said anytime dad.

Motivation is very important for a student success. Like my dad would say to me as a teenager a creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve. You need motivation to finish without it you will not finish anything. My kids knowing I finished is all the motivation I need. A student needs to make that first step. Without goals and a strategy you might not get to that first step.

The class wall help you feel connected with classmates just by getting to know what they have going on in their lives and what they have to do in their lives every day. This will help me stay motivated when I hear what other people on going on in their lives and still able to get back in school. Just because I work late is no reason not to get back in school. Some people have a lot more going on then me.
