The Netflix commercial I saw offers you a service that lets you watch unlimited movies, TV shows, and more instantly. This commercial made me wonder, is it true? Did you say $8 a month? They used unlimited and instantly in the same sentence. I tried this service to see if it was so great at such a low price, and it was.

To get unlimited movies, TV shows, and more for only $8 a month was unheard of until Netflix came along with this wonderful offer. I believe a lot of their customers became customers because of their commercials. You can get Netflix with a gaming console such as Wii and PlayStation 3 or a Playbox. Other services such as Vudu, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, and CinemaNow are similar to Netflix. These services are all on the internet, but you would have to have a Playbox otherwise. When I first heard of Netflix I assumed it to be like Blockbuster or RedBox but I don't have to leave my home. Netflix has a variety of categories. These categories include: Dark movies, Social & Cultural Documentaries, Sci-Fi thrillers, Serial Killer movies, New Releases, TV shows, Action & Adventure, Anime, Children & Family movies, Classic movies, Comedies, Documentaries, Dramas, Foreign movies, Gay & Lesbian movies, Horror, Independent, Romance, Sci-fi & Fantasy, Sports movies, Thrillers, Popular movies, and Suspenseful movies. They remember the movies you watch and give you some options of movies similar to the ones you have watched. These categories are called Recently Watched & Top 10. You can save a movie to your Instant Queue if you can't watch it right away.

You can watch any movie or TV show that you choose at anytime. You have options to watch a workout (with or without interaction), a documentary, or a specific episode from a specific TV show. When you watch anything on Netflix, you don't worry about commercials because there is none. You can watch each episode form a season continuously without waiting from week to week.

You cannot get the most recent TV shows and movies that have been released in last few months. The experience is different on a PC than it is on a gaming console or Playbox. Knowing that you cannot get the most recent shows, you would have to watch them via internet from a different site. Even though it's $8 a month, you still need an internet service provider to receive this service. You would also need a PC or gaming console or Playbox to even view anything with this service.

I don't have cable so Netflix IS my TV source. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access your Netflix. Another great thing about Netflix is that the picture is awesome.
