Steve Jobs

In light of his death and due to the fact I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of the Steve Jobs Biography a few weeks early, I decided to do a book review about his life. This biography reveals a new perception of the unique mind behind Apple. Author Walter Isaacson, the CEO of Aspen Institute and former Managing Editor of Time Magazine and chairman of CNN illustrates the story of the most famed individual in the world of technology.

The world remembers Steve Jobs as an icon who made vast contributions toward personal computers, animations, phones, digital publishing and other areas of information technology. With his work in this field he opened the gates for new markets to flourish based on these digital content based applications. His inventions are currently being used throughout the world and his efforts to connect technology with creativity have given a boost to innovation as a whole. Steve Jobs has flawlessly revolutionized the computer market with numerous inventions that people have been taking advantage of for years. In the past decade Jobs has awed the world with his inventions and introduced new ways for people to connect to each other more easily.

In this biography, Isaacson talks about the personal and professional life of the co-founder of Apple. Steve Jobs did not want to read the book before its publication and never asked to change what was written in the book. He wanted a fair honest review of what people thought of him, whether those opinions were good or bad. Isaacson gained the information by conducting a series of extensive interviews with Steve's family members, colleagues, friends, competitors and adversaries. These individuals gave a realistic view of the obsessions and passions along with the approaches towards work and innovation that propelled Steve Jobs ahead of the competition. Isaacson described Jobs' passion for perfection and his nature to think out of the box as key elements to the extensive accomplishments of himself and his company.

With his unparalleled imagination, Steve Jobs rose as an American icon and provided the world with irreplaceable innovations. His mindset and leadership qualities are what made the creation of all these inventions possible. His passion and creativity were the primary traits that summed up his entire life and tied his products to his personality. These distinctive traits encouraged Jobs to change his view of the world and gave way to new unique ideas. His perfectionistic attitude towards every idea and invention was another outstanding quality of Steve Jobs. This quality reflected in his company as Apple repeatedly introduced reliable and productive inventions that became highly recognizable in the technological field and throughout the world.

Steve Jobs loved the unity of his company which resulted in simplicity that was reflected in his work. He understood that the best approach to running a company was based on cohesiveness and originality. Jobs believed he was the best at what he did and considered it his duty to provide people with the best products possible.

Steve Jobs was known as one of the most demanding, insensitive, and sometimes hard to work with leaders of all time. He was often criticized by the way he lashed out in the media with mockery of Apple's top rivals, and no CEO was more barefaced and shameless at having things his way, whether good or bad. Jobs private entitlements and personal mistreatments were also criticized. He'd park his car in handicapped spaces, sporadically reduce fellow coworkers to tears, and fire employees in heated outbursts. Yet, many of his top assistants who had been employed by him
