Human factors within the enterprise for more effective use of current and emerging technology

The are tons of varying factors when it comes to making the most effective use of current or emerging technology inside of an enterprise. When focusing on just a Wal-Mart store location emerging technology will be placed within certain key areas of the business where it would be put the most to use, such as the electronics area if you or human resources. Depending upon the actual technology in question that will also help alleviate the decision of where to roll it out. Technology in a business comes in many forms and must be placed in appropriate locations to get the max benefit. Likewise depending on the roll out you may have to do some internal restructuring to make sure you've allocated all your best human resources to take advantage of the changes.

The way to decide where to locate your employees for new or current technology will go by their skill levels and individual performances, as well as their job titles and descriptions. If a company is rolling out a new system to manage the client and employee database then you more or less want to have your human resource and upper management in the position to make the most out of the new software. Be it relocating their department to another area of the company with new computers and resources for the new software to be used or only giving access to the new software to those with the most recent training, their are just many ways to handle the situation.

On going training classes and workshops that are present within the company also help to contribute to the human factors by keeping as many people up to date on the changes being made in the company from the ground level on up. Managers and other upper level executives are to be well versed in every aspect of the company as well as those who are familiar with the business scope of the competition and surrounding businesses is it at the headquarters or at the local and regional stores.

Lastly and most important, while touched on earlier you would need the Human Factors Integration. The use of the HFIN is basically meaning that as you roll out the resources within your company, as well as rolling our current or new emerging technology, you always take into consideration the actual user experience and past history. This method of deployment assures that you have your brightest and best minds at the helm when dwelling into new territories. Likewise these employees may have leadership qualities that may help those around them by helping or giving advice to others. In some situation you may even want to strategically position such employees around those who may not be a comfortable with change as a well to take down the resist factors of people who are opposed
