1. This book was called Xochitl and the flowers because there was a girl whose name was Xochitl which means flower in the Nahuatl language, this name came from their Indian ancestors. It's a very good story because it's about a girl who really liked the flowers and the people knew her family because his mother's name was Servelia Flower and his father's name was Obdulio Flower. They moved with an uncle who lived in San Francisco. She missed Salvador the place where she lived before she moved to San Francisco.

2. The character that changes in the story was Xochitl because she moved to San Francisco to live with his uncle. This changed her life because San Francisco was very different and she had to learn another language and start a new life. They had to work very hard. Her father rented an apartment with a large yard and then they got what they had always wanted.

3. The change was necessary because Xochitl and her family were overcome and achieved everything they have always wanted to have in their life. That's very good because everything can be achieved in life. They moved to San Francisco and were overcome and could rent an apartment with a large backyard and then they started to sell flowers in their yard.

4. The biggest weakness the main character had to overcome was when a new neighbor wanted to close their business and sue them. The family was very sad because they had made many sacrifices. It was all a misunderstanding, but then they could solve the problem. After everything happened everyone was happy. Xochitl family could get on with their business of selling flowers.

5. While I was reading the story the part that I really liked was when they were able to rent an apartment and could have their own business which was what they liked to do more. I feel very happy because like the girl who misses her country I also miss my country Puerto Rico.
