Human Beings

Human beings will do anything in their power when it comes to surviving. When people are faced with life and death situations they are able to push themselves than we ever managed possible. The book ALIVE by Piers Paul Read is a great example of how the human mind can physically and mentally prepares itself to overcome the toughest situations. When a Uruguayan rugby team find themselves stranded in the Ands Mountains with limited resources for an extreme amount of days they will do anything possible to survive.

Survival will play the major role throughout this whole book. Alive is a story about the old Christians rugby team who was traveling to Chilie for the championships. They also brought along their family, friends, and others whom where just traveling, all together there was fifteen rugby players and twenty-five others. As they were flying over the Andes there was extremely bad weather which caused the crash to happen.
