Harper Lee, when writing your novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird", you divided the book into two sections. As you know you titled the two parts "Part I and Part II". These titles are generic and have no meaning. You should have put no titles in the novel. Putting the titles in this novel makes someone's suspense level go down. It is very random and has no distinct meaning. It also destroys the readers focus on the novel. A solution to this problem is to put illustrations instead of "Part I and Part II".

The first reason this solution will work, is when someone's suspense levels go down, they may get bored, uninterested and tend to skip around in the book. They may even wind up putting the book away because they feel there are more enjoyable things to do. Sorry to say but putting the "Part I" and "Part II" in the novel automatically makes this happen. Your solution to this problem could be to make some new books with illustrations of what happens or what happened in those parts and this will force the person to read more because their suspense levels will be very high.

The second reason this solution will work so much better is because the illustrations will have a distinct meaning and will fit the book much better. Basically the illustrations will give the book more "flavor". Pictures instantly get the mind to thinking and help the readers visualize the story. Your book sometimes is very hard to visualize, especially for the young readers today, who get bored easily.

The third reason this solution will work, is because the illustrations will keep the readers attention sparked. "Part I and Part II" impulsively destroys the readers focus on the novel and they may keep reading but not actually reading and this confuses the reader severely. To put illustrations in place of "Part I and Part II" will be a very smart move and may even boost your sales. A normal person that goes to a book store may not buy your book because it looks boring. However, if you put illustrations in it, it may look interesting, and remarkable, like the things that happens in your book, which is great by the way.

You titled the two parts "Part I and Part II" and that is dull. The resolution to that problem is to put illustrations in place of it. The three reasons the solution will work is because it will force the reader to read more because they will be very suspenseful, it will add "flavor" to the book, and last but not least it will stimulate the readers mind and help them to visualize what is going on.

In closing please don't take these suggestions as a insult. Young readers today, are easily bored and need something to keep them sparked. This is a great book and it would be a shame, for anyone, of any age, to miss out on such a delightful novel, because they
