Through history the human civilization has been looking live in a safe society. They have invented a lot of methods to prevent accidents, and disasters caused by the men's hands. In addition, motor vehicle crashes have been identified as the leading cause of untimely deaths among American people; as a result, The United States Department of Transportation had created the red light cameras enforcement as mechanism to prevent traffic accidents. In fact, it may be a useful technique to prevent accidents, but the red light camera enforcement has become unreasonable for the following reasons: It is impersonal, it can not see circumstances that exist around the situation, and it is only raising money for the city.

First, the red light camera is impersonal, because it only catches the plate not the face which means that it is possible someone else could drive the car through a red light and the person owner of car gets the ticket, even thought he or she did not break any law; for example, my sister respects the laws. She loaned me her car to take my nice to school, and I ran the red light; a month later she receives the ticket with the photo of her plate. That situation is unfair because the photo does not prove the driver of the car. In addition, if the car's owner does not pay the ticket, her or his record will be ruined.

Second, the red light camera can not see circumstances that exist around the situation, because when the people drive there are a lot of issues that can affect not just the drivers and the way that they drive; also, that issues could affect the mechanic of the car. For instance, if a driver is driving in the rain, it is possible that the road is wet and the tires slipping crossing the red light without intention. Other case is when a driver is trying to avoid an accident, and he without guilt cross the red light; as a result, the system regardless of the external situation give a ticket to owner of car.

Finally, it is raising money for the city which perverts justice because the goal is not that people obeys the law, but that the city gets money. In fact, this makes them enforce the law more in one area, and neglecting other areas that also require attention. Moreover, it is unethical, because the company that makes and installs the red light cameras profit when people break the law, so it is just a business, hoping that more and more people break the law.

In conclusion, there are some measures that can really help people to avoid accidents and helps the police to spend their time protecting the citizens from criminals. However there are others mechanics such as red lights camera enforcement that has become unreasonable for the following reasons: It is impersonal, it can not see circumstances that exist around the situation, and it is only raising money for the city. That situation shows the commercial of its use affecting to drivers in a lot of cases innocent of guilt.
