Happiness Lady Philosophy

Does Lady Philosophy adequately defend her claim that God rules the human realm in such a way that good are always rewarded and the wicked are punished?

Well, It starts with happiness; Boethius says that being happy is defined as simple power and simple wealth. Having fortune, which as Lady Philosophy says it is "very undependable", cannot have neither of these two things. The man who tries this is a very sad and miserable person because they believe that that he lost all of his power because of the fortune. Lady Philosophy responds first by telling Boethius and explaining to him why his definition for happiness is wrong. She starts by telling him he was the only one thinking about the material items that that bring happiness to him and lead him to rely on fortune to bring him this fake happiness.

What Lady Philosophy says about fortune is that it is the action and behavior of God, and God and only God decides on what fortune can do to a person. Her solution to this is by making Boethius's relationship with God very strong and helping Boethius understand God's control. Lady Philosophy helps Boethius not only by talking about what it actually is to be happy but how he can obtain happiness, and who deserves to have happiness. Lady Philosophy starts with the two arguments about God's existence and his Happiness. She starts by saying "The common conception of human minds grants that God is good; since nothing can be imagined that is better than God, who could doubt that such a thing is good than which nothing is better?" She also says "Everyone believes or know of God, and since there's no higher power, who would doubt God and believe in nothing, because nothing is more powerful than God. It has to be true about God. Since God is all power, all good, and all knowing, God is perfect, so perfect goodness (which is happiness) is made by God." Lady Philosophy continues to explain how the world did not just create itself, and obviously has had to been created by something got, since the world did not create itself and there must be some higher being, something or someone that could be powerful enough to generate such a universe as the one that we live in. That is an important example of the existence of God.

Boethius wonders and objects, He says "If God is good, then why is there evil? Can God create evil?" Lady Philosophy says, "Evil things are nothing". The evil people do not have anything real." Boethius then asks why that is, Lady Philosophy says to him that happiness steps in and leads us to God. She talks about how that the only thing that make evil people happy is materialistic things, and not by true happiness. She goes on by saying that that the people who gain happiness from wealth and materialistic things those people do not gain true happiness and without happiness there is nothing so those who want these things end up with nothing.

Lady philosophy continues to insure Boethius that bad and evil people are not really "alive", and will never be able to find their happiness and will always continue to be evil.
