My family has greatly influenced my personality. From ever since I was little till now. I've had a very messed up but loving family as I was growing up. I was always told that I was loved and I was even treated like I was loved. I was raised to treat girl's right, work hard, and to take responsibility in my actions. When I was little I hated to take out the trash, clean up after myself, or just clean in general. When I wouldn't do my chores I would get spankings and or time outs, but now I am a neat freak I can't stand a messy house. I believe it was the punishments that straitened me out. One of the great but sad things that happened in my family is that my mom was on drugs really bad when I was little; she has been clean for over 6 years now. The reason I said it was great because she is now clean and off drugs and if she hadn't been on them I wouldn't know what they were like or how they could make you become and I could have experimented and wound up like some of my past friends or even her at the time.

In school I have learned and developed great personality traits. Especially since I have played sport, I have learned leadership skills, how to share, how to work together as team rather than an individual, and I have even learned how to listen and respect my coach (boss). From sports I have also learned how to be a loser and how to be a winner. Before I went to school I remember only relying on family, never really had friends out of the bloodline until I went to school, by going to school I developed some big influences, my friends, that helped me develop who I am.

I have had plenty of different peer groups in my life. I have struggled to be a thug, not the hardcore I'll kill you thugs though. I used to love listening to rap and trying to make up my own raps when I was little. I used to wear baggy clothes and talk with slang and I even thought I was tough stuff. Then I got into sports and that changed everything about me. I started to wear clothes that would fit me, talked like a normal kid, started treating myself better and other people better, and it even gave me better friends. I was never in trouble and I could be myself.

Dealing with mass media, it has had an impact on my life. Like when I watch tv I can relax myself. In other ways tv has influenced my life/personality is that it shows me how good I have. Seeing what is happening in other countries, across the United States, in Kentucky, or even in my own county. It's crazy how can have everything you need but we always want more.
