Roosevelt Thompson was born on August 07th 1960.

His educational pursuit began at Hard Hill Acklins all age school, continuing in Nassau Bahamas at C C Sweeting Senior High, College of the Bahamas, BTVI, Baptist College, and graduated in January 02 with the degree of Master of Biblical Hermeneutics from the Principle of Life Bible College. He also holds certificates in Advance leadership, evangelism and training from the Haggai Institute Maui Hawaii, the United States Coast Guard Leadership Institute and the United State Coast Guard Petaluma Institute of Military training California

"Rusi" as he is affectionately called was ordained a Master Builder like Nehemiah, no matter what, he refuses to cease his work restoring the breach and standing in the gap. A giant of a man not in size but in his commitment to the work of God and family, Rusi stands four-square, and refuses to be deterred.

Min. Roosevelt joined the New Covenant Baptist Church Family Watch Night of 1983 and for the last 28 years has been consistently active in the body of Christ, serving in the Youth dept., sanctuary choir, youth choir, Director of Royal Ambassadors, Bus Ministry, Ushers Ministry, Sunday School Ministry, Men's fellowship, Prayer Ministry, Public Relation Ministry, Deaconate and Ministerial Board, presently Pastor's Chief Adjutant, with ministerial responsibilities for the organizing of the young men 17-27 ministry. He is the host of the radio program "Bishop Simeon Hall speaks to the Nation" aired on "ZNS-1240 and Love 97.5" Saturday and Sunday 1200 noon and 0730 respectively. He serves on the church's executive committee. Min. Thompson is the recipient of many awards and honors from the New Covenant Baptist Church and the Bahamas Baptist National Convention at large.

As a Priest, Provider and Protector he imitates the nature of Christ and is prepared to be a savior for his family. Married to the former Helen Brice for the last 25years their union has been blessed with two sons Roosevelt Jr. and Rashadd.

His personal scriptures are Romans 8:1 and Ephesians 3: 20-21

Being a well trained soldier for the last 32 years within the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, he now serves as a Chief Petty Officer, he is adamant in making sure that the young marines are "Determined Dedicated and Disciplined" likewise the same temperament is shown in his love and respect for the work of God. Hobbies include: Track and Field, traveling and meeting people. In Civic Bahamas He served in many capacities, such as vice-president of Prince William High's PTA and the Bahamas Association of Certified Officials for Track and Field. Senior Instructors with the Royal Bahamas Defense Force's Rangers program and training department, Recruiting chief Petty Officer of the RBDF, also Senior Training Instructor with the United States
