Global Warming: Are Human Interactions to Blame?

I. Introduction

Earth, the home of life where countless numbers of species undergoes survival, several environmental dangers are lurking. Oceans are experiencing dead zones, much land is experiencing deforestation, and millions of species are becoming extinct. Yet on top of all those issues, one of the most devastating environmental issue that the earth is struggling with today global warming. Some believe that humans are to blame with the earths rising temperatures, others blame nature. With or without human interactions the temperature will continue to rise but are human impacts increasing it at a faster and higher rate? Taking the correct precautions and making environmental changes can reduce the global warming rate and percentage.

I. Global warming's rising temperatures are skyrocketing.

a. The global atmospheres temperature is being monitored and recorded by NASA satellites.

b. Remote Sensing Systems v3.3 displays a consistent warming trend (from January 1980 to December 2010, 372 months) of 0.152 degrees Celsius per decade (Wall Street Journal, 2011).

i. Scientific date proves that the global warming percentage is increasing.

c. Proof that the earth's temperature is rising at a specific rate makes people more aware of the seriousness of global warming.

II. Increasing populations result in increased global warming temperatures

a. Higher populated communities give off higher amounts of carbon dioxide which increases the global warming percentage.

b. Climate change/global warming with "over population" from countries such as China and India have to do more to help contain global warming (Shah, 2010)

i. Higher populated environments are in more need of fossil fuels to support the whole community rather than smaller communities.

c. High populated communities are in demand for more room which can result in extra deforestation and resources.

III. Human interaction denial

a. Some people believe that there is no such thing as human impact with global warming that the earth's temperature change is at random.

i. Denial is set in because the earth was hotter 1,000 years ago than it is now (The Telegraph, 2011)

b. Other possible explanations of climate change aside from human interacts exists. Some debate that global warming does not even exist.
