Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of both the earth's near surface air and the oceans. Global warming as the term implies, is a global issue and cannot be tackled locally. Thus, international cooperation is the need of the hour if we are to curb and control this huge problem. In all honesty, I feel that Global warming has contributed to the wildly unpredictable seasonal patterns.

In the state of Texas, during our seasonal changes we never know what to expect. One minute we're hot and burning up, the next we're about to freeze and need to break out our jackets or coats. As humans that have to live here in this environment I think we all need to chip in and do our part. I also believe that if we cut back on some of the daily activities we do, it will cut down some of the global warming. Many of the things that we could cut back on are transportation uses, recycling more and use more energy saver products. Throughout the years, us, the humans, have become a little less caring about the planet that we live in, and we never stop to think, that right now, is the only planet that we have. In this paper I'm going to talk about some of the things we can do to help eliminate some of this global warming.

One of the main things we can reduce to help with the global warming is with the reduction of the transportation use. Not only is this a smart thing to do from the standpoint of spending less money on gas but it is a very direct way of reducing greenhouse gases at the very moment of action since as we drive, emissions from our cars and vehicles are spewing greenhouse gases directly into the air. If we can make our driving more efficient by using our cars less and only as needed, we are immediately making a positive contribution to the world. Another thing we can do to cut back on the driving would be planning out every stop you might have to make. Take a few minutes before you venture out and plan the stops and the best route. You will be amazed how much time, and energy, you can save by planning and organizing your outings rather than just hopping in the car and running to the store to get just one item. With a little effort, you can literally take care of half a dozen errands in one trip. By doing so you not only save money on gas, you save time for your other activities and best of all, use less gas. It is a win-win situation for you, the rest of the human race and the planet (lizasreef.com)!

The next major thing that can help with global warming would be cutting back on our electricity use. There are several things we could do that would help with global warming as well as help save money. The number one thing for me would be turning off the lights that you do not use. Lowering your thermostat a few degrees in the winter is also another way to help cut back your use of energy. Another option would be to set your thermostat way back when leaving your home for a long period of time
