Step II

The issue of global warming has become a sizzling subject as we work to raise awareness. What is global warming? One may ask, global warming is caused by a blanket of pollution that traps heat around the earth (). How does this happen? It comes from us individuals who drive cars, own factories, homes and power planets. We all contribute to global warming. The climate is changing and national disasters are becoming more fatal. Hurricanes and tropical storms are becoming more powerful, flooding is becoming more frequent and more diseases from insects are becoming more common as a result of global warming.

Many people will argue that global warming doesn't exist. Some may say that there is no scientific evidence to back the fact. Money is being wasted researching something that doesn't exist. With or without global warming the world is always changing and as the world change the climate is also changing. So why should we invest in this thing called global warming? Hurricanes and other tropical storms have always existed. Global warming has not change the way national disasters that are a part of Mother Nature happen.

Global warming is a serious problem that we should not ignore and as we continue to do research we should participate in practices to cut global warming pollution. All the people in the world, the energy that we use to do basic things such as heating and cooling, cooking and transportation pours waste into the climate. We can help the earth by building cleaner cars and more modern electricity. We can also manufacture more efficient appliances that conserve energy.

As the population increase so does the pollution into the earth. The seasons are reverse across the world showing evidence of global warming. Carbon dioxide is a natural process in the earth however humans are depositing more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere much faster than plants and oceans can absorb it. Animals are affected as their environment is also changing. Plants are also suffering, the effects of global warming is affecting the food chain.

In conclusion we should be more cautious of our environment and what we put into it. We can help contribute to our earth one step at a time.
