Solving the effect of global warming on Taiwan

Global warming is a serious even that the whole world are facing. Every country is trying to think of a way to solve the problem of global warming, so I will bring my country Taiwan as an example. This small island is actually facing a more serious problem than anyone can imagine by global warming. Global warming raises Taiwan typhoon danger, it leads Temperature Rise o and it causes sea level to rise. I think global warming is unstoppable, because no one can stop people using car, air condition or any kind of technology that will produce extra gas. On the other hand we cannot prevent the global warming but we can be ready for the effect from the global warming.

Typhoon is always a problem for Taiwan; it causes a lot of mudslides. Taiwan expert warned the typhoon will be stronger, because of the global warming. For country side, we need to make sure we plan enough of the planet to hold the dirt so it won't cause the mudslide. In city we need to make sure all of the gutters are clean and smooth. The most important protection is make sure all of the people stay inside and stop the working and school, so it will decrease the death rate from typhoon. These policies will make the government cost a lot of money, but I think the people's life is more important than the government.

Last few year Taiwan had the hottest summer in the history. This hot condition made a lot of people heatstroke, and the dike is almost dry out. The reasons that make the temperature higher are because people use the air condition too much, and the weather gets hotter the people use more air condition. I will make a rule for air condition temperature to decrease the amount of using air condition. We cannot stop people use their AC in their house, but we can make sure the public place, like restaurant, mall or supermarket that they need to set the temperature in a certain degree. Another point is the when a car just park it at the side of the street and the driver is inside the car to wait for someone or just resting, the street police can make them shut down the engine while they are waiting. I am sure these rules can make the temperature is cooler and we will produce less gas.

The most dangerous effect from global warming is the sea level rise, because Taiwan is a island and it surround by the sea. The sea level will rise is because of the ice from the North Pole been dissolve too much and it rise the sea level in the world. In Taiwan if the sea level keep rising plus the earth quack the tsunami certainly will invade Taiwan. I still cannot stop the sea level rise but I can prevent when the tsunami come. Taiwan is a small country; it won't take a lot of time to build a waterproof wall around Taiwan.
