Economic Inequality Test

How does a society know that it has reached the point where economic inequality has become a problem, if ever?

In crafting this essay, please clarify your definition of economic inequality, and acknowledge and refute any counterarguments.  Please also consider the processes by which a society might determine that inequality has become a problem. And discuss whether and how American society is unique in this regard. Please defend your arguments using readings from the first 5 weeks of class.  Rubric is included on bCourses.

Essay Parameters:  

• Papers should be between 3 and 4 pages double spaced, with a 4 page maximum.
• 12-point font
• 1-inch margins
• Please put your student ID in the header of all pages, and do not include your name on the printed document.
• Reference readings and lectures using MLA in text citations, and include a works cited page at the end. Citations and works cited page are not counted towards the page limit.

**Late papers will receive a deduction of one letter grade for each day they are late.
