America has over time, bettered it's racial prejudices.

But, last week, Jonathan Ferell, a former florida football player suffered a horrible car crash with his soon to be wife. Luckily, he escaped through the back window and walked to the nearest house for immediate help. Now it's common sense to know what the usual procedure would be: Neighbour helps the victim, calls an ambulance, all is well. But Jonathan is dead. Why? Because the neighbour whom Jonathan sought help called 911 instead and claimed Jonathan was "trying to kick down her door" and weeped on the phone.

Now, anyone would be surprised and startled by the sound of somebody banging on your window from outside, but it's completely obvious that no one would execute a house robbery with first of all, their bare hands and second of all, when it's completely obvious it's vacated with people. Surely it would be common sense to help the guy out?

Anyways, as she called 911, of course the police arrived at the scene, and shot down Jonathan. Surely the police would see the crashed car and Jonathan's obvious injuries? But they shot him, probably from a distance thinking it's just the same old black man attacking an innocent vunerable white female. I find it absolutely horrifying that this stereotypical bias still exists in our world.

I think its sad that our human race, just because of our skin colour and a long line of unfortunate events from history that has generated a ever lasting stereotype and a racial bias on selected races, African Americans, Aborigines etc. The white man have destroyed the feeling of universal comradeship and humanism entirely, perhaps for another generation. It disgusts me that yet, people still live in fear just because of the family that they were born into. Do people have to have a way of indicating and presenting themselves as a 'non threatening' type of person of their race?

There's always been cases of innocent people's deaths regarding racial bias, like Trayvon Martin, but this is beyond that since Jonathan's death was hardly justifiable in any way whatsoever.

Jonathan's family released a statement saying:

"He's engaged to be married, he has a dog and a cat, he was driving a Toyota Camry, he survived an accident, had 3.7 GPA, a chemistry major. This is not someone who posed a threat to the officers or anyone else, this is an everyday American."

Someone with a 3.7 GPA trying to rob a house?

His death should be a reminder of how racial prejudice still exists strongly in our modern, so called 'liberal' world.
