Apple's Black Hole Phone

Introduction:

With the advent of technology the life of man in today's world has made their life much accessible to information through the rapid pace at which technology is increasing. Man, today, has accessibility to a host of information from the palm of their hands through mobile phones and other similar devices which have an android system have been built within the device, whereby allowing them access to the internet and other remote software enabling to work and access information without the need of a proper desktop computer or workstation (Jericho, 2011).

Apple has gone one step further by introducing a new product to their existing android technology of iPod, iPad and iPhones, the Apple Black Hole Phone. A concept product that is said to rival all concepts of android technology (Cloud Phone Design, 2012). A number of technologist bloggers have cited this product as having the world literally in the palm of your hands where an abstract holographic screen is levitated in the air enabling you to control it functions, applications and usage that is a size of a pebble (Thrystan, 2010).

Marketing Issues:

There are many marketing issues of which we can implement with Apple. But the main marketing issue to Apple would be as follows:

 Will the market be ready by 2020 to accommodate new technology?

 How would consumers react to privacy on the Black Hole phone?

 Will the competitors come up with a better technology than Apple?

Marketing Theories:

In order to support those arguments there would be plenty of marketing theories that would go along with it. Theories such as:

 Chances of Apple of having a monopolistic competition (Marcouse, et al., 2003).

 The consumer behaviour, how would the consumers react when they hear about the product coming into the market (Solomon, et al., 1999).

 The consumer perception of the concept phone; it is how the consumer will perceive the Black Hole phone when it comes out in the market, I.e., the packaging, the hand-held device itself, etc (Solomon, et al., 1999).

 Target market: when the phone comes out, who will Apple target it to? For example, when Blackberries came out, it was initially targeted to businesses, but now they have opened it to public (Marcouse, et al., 2003).
