How has the Internet changed the meaning of copyright and intellectual property? What are the limits to what you can own and sell online?

I think there can be many problems with copyright and intellectual property I feel that these can be the center of an international debate regarding how to reconcile the potential of the Internet with traditional intellectual property approaches. I think that using intermediaries in enforcement and the use of Internet technical measures to prevent access to unauthorized content. With this comes many questions' because new technology also raises intellectual property issues such as naming of websites these are often linked with trademark issues and how easy people can use digital technologies which allow copying and distribution challenges.

I think that the nature of the Internet means that people somewhere will always be one step ahead of the law so they think. People always want things for free and the Internet has provided a means of doing that. I think that the laws associated with intellectual property were created to protect the works in the physical world. With cyberspace there are fundamental concepts of intellectual property were they are altered. With technology changing weekly it has changed the concept of intellectual property by that I mean it has unearthed an unyielding attitude promoting right's for freedom of information for the Internet and will come to be more prevalent with future users. When selling your products online protect yourself and ensure that it is not already a product under a different name but does the same as your product remember to create things that only you have an understanding of how it operates. You cannot copy music that is not releases through the music industry or the artist that is copyright law and should be avoided.
