iOS is the considered the world's most advanced mobile operating system. Included in this are an easy-to-use interface, incredible features, and dependable permanence. The iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch all use the iOS mobile operating system. The technologies and features built into iOS keep Apple devices years ahead of competitors.

A major part of iOS is the elegant and intuitive interface. One will be able to understand how to use an iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch from the first time they try them. This is because of the innovative Multi-Touch interface, which was designed for a person's finger. The striking Home screen is just the start. From built-in apps to over 700,000 more apps and games available on the App Store and from making a FaceTime call to editing a video with iMovie, everything one touches is easy, intuitive, and fun (iOS 2012).

Marvelous features and built-in apps are another major part of iOS. iOS has an ever-expanding collection of features and built-in apps, which make the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch even more commanding, inventive, and enjoyable to use. One feature of iOS is Siri. Siri lets one use voice to send messages, schedule meetings, check the latest scores, and more. One may ask Siri to do things just by talking. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. One built-in app, Maps, shows incredible details, including full zoom. Maps keeps street names where they go and keeps one heading in the right direction with spoken turn-by-turn navigation and real-time traffic updates. Another feature is Music. One can listen to music anywhere and everywhere, as well as seeing it by browsing a collection by album art. Since iTunes in the iCloud lets one access the music purchased on every device used, one will never be without a song. FaceTime is a popular app, which allows a person to make video calls over Wi-Fi from an iOS device to someone else's with just a tap. These calls can be made over cellular networks on an iPhone or iPad (Smith 2012).

There are even more astounding features and apps from iOS. Messages, another feature from iOS, includes iMessage. This is a messaging service that is even better than texting because it is free and unlimited over Wi-Fi for the person and anyone using an iOS device or Mac. One can send texts, photos, videos, locations, and even contacts through iMessage. A very popular and widely used feature is Safari, which is the world's most popular mobile browser. Clutter can be removed from web pages with Reader, and one can save a Reading List for offline perusing (iOS 2012). iCloud Tabs help to keep track of which pages are open on one's devices, so a person can start browsing on one device and pick up where it was left off on another device. AirPlay, another feature, allows one to wirelessly stream what is on an iOS device to an HDTV and speakers via Apple TV, or mirror exactly what is on your display to the big screen. One of the last built-in apps is Game Center, which allows one to expand the social gaming network. Friends can be opponents and opponents can be friends, or one can go up against unknown people in a multiplayer game (Prospero 2012).

With iOS, Apple created a hardware and software that was made for each other. Apple creates both the hardware and operating system for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, and everything is designed to work in unison. Apps will take full advantage of hardware features, such as the Retina display, the accelerometer, the Multi-Touch interface, accelerate graphics, the three-axis gyro, and more. A good example would be FaceTime, which uses both of the front and back cameras, the display, the microphone, and a Wi-Fi connection (Prospero 2012).

iOS contains the world's largest and smartest collection of apps. Being the platform for the world's largest collection of mobile apps, iOS has thousands of apps in practically every category. Each app begins with the right DNA because Apple gives third-party developers an abundant set of tools and APIs to produce apps and games intended to take advantage of the technology inside every iOS device. With all of the apps in one place, they are easy to search, access, and buy using the same account that one would use for iTunes. One can download apps with a tap by browsing the App Store on a device (Smith 2012).

With the App Store comes app marketing, and the app store is not the only marketing channel. For someone, seeing their app in the App Store may be an awesome feeling, but it does not mean that anyone else will discover it. Successful apps require a mix or marketing channels, which is a combination that reaches an audience wide enough to give their app the exposure it needs to build and sustain momentum. For mobile marketing, building a website, conducting email marketing, and leveraging social media channels to funnel prospective customers to an App Store listing are important components (Smith 2012).

Building interest in an app should begin the moment someone comes up with a viable idea for the product. Creating an app is a journey, and every app is competing for limited "real estate" in the App Store and on the user's device. The App Store Charts showcase only what Apple thinks will sell. Familiarizing with Apple's preferences ahead of time will give a person the best chance at separating themselves from the hundreds of thousands of other apps competing for the consumers' attention. Design is also important to App Store success, which includes how the app looks and how it functions. When looking through the top apps in each category, the majority have a carefully executed UX, which is one designed to help users understand what the app does and how easy it is to do it. The app's intuitive UX must translate well as screenshots
