My own idiolect is influenced by many factors around me.

Some of these factors are family and friends, the media, where I come from and my culture.

Media plays a significant role which has changed my own way of speaking (idiolect).

'OMG' and 'LOL' are most commonly used words on the internet and socializing sites like Facebook and Twitter.

My idiolect varies and changes during different times and according to the people who are around me.

For example, when speaking to my parents or someone older then me, I would try not to use slang and any inappropriate words because to me, use of slang to an adult is seen as a form of disrespect.

there are people out there who criticize the way i speak. When I use slang at home to my brothers, my parents criticize me on that i am forgetting my culture and changing my attitude. However, in school there are different critics made by different people like teachers and other 'friends'

Teachers think that by using slang, we are lazy and incompetent. they say this because they think that when it is time for exam or writing or speaking, we are lazy and tend to write or say words that are not i'proper English'. some of my friends also criticize my own way of speaking and they say that I shouldn't use slang because it will make me forget my mother's tongue and will change my attitudes. When they say that I think to myself, like 'OMG'.

To be honest, i hat when people criticize my own way of speaking because frankly speaking, each and every individual has their own idiolect and they use it the way they wish to use it.
