Syrian Civil War

By: K

Protesters of a small Southern City in Syria took to the streets after hearing of students being tortured for putting up graffiti that was anti-government. ("nytimes.com," 2013) The Syrian government which is a dictatorship sent in troops to stop the protests and it escalated quickly into violence and has now spread throughout the country. ("nytimes.com," 2013) The situation in Syria is affecting nations all over the world as the country is spiraling into a deep state of civil war. The United States is a great force in the world today and needs to try and help with this situation. Innocent people are being killed in Syria on a daily basis, as the death toll has climbed well into the thousands. (Alkshali, 2013) The U.S. needs to intervene because the world does not need another world war to break out. This can
