Wal-mart's supply chain management model is applicable to most companies. At present, some international famous enterprises, such as HP, IBM, DELL, etc. have achieved great performance in supply chain practice. Many enterprises have followed suit, and supply chain management will become an effective way for enterprises to adapt to global competition in the 21st century.

This model is not only aimed at the us market, but also can be applied to most market enterprises in the world. The turnover rate to expand a business's inventory at low cost is what every business wants, especially those whose main business is sales. Therefore, wal-mart supply chain management can be applied not only in the us market, but also worldwide.

However, the inventory management system cannot adapt to every environment, for example, the business environment in China hampers wal-mart's information advantage. At present, most of the suppliers in China have low level of informatization and can only conduct simple data exchange with wal-mart.

At the same time, due to the restrictions of policies, wal-mart's satellite communication system cannot play its role in China, and the effective sharing of its global procurement system and global logistics system is greatly discounted in China's market. The logistics system of backstage cannot cooperate closely with each other as foreign countries, and cannot play its due efficiency. Cross-regional chain distribution is difficult to achieve, which greatly affects the implementation of walmart's low price policy in China.
