The Old Country Store

You step out of your truck on a shivering winters night, your stomach still rumbling likes it’s been the whole ride here. You’re caught with the sweet aroma that reminds you of grandma’s sweet biscuits. The scent brings you in ass you pass the many rocking chairs and checker boards. The walls covered in old wood paneling. You make it to the door and see the classic sign telling you to come on in, you’ve arrived at Cracker Barrel, home of the old country store. Your eyes light up as you see every Americana piece they have to offer. Cracker Barrels food, atmosphere, and services is incomparable to any other restaurant.

Cracker Barrels atmosphere is comforting and warming. Immediately as you enter youre welcomed in by the lit up lobby filled with every old country piece you cn think of. Classic Christmas music lightly falling from the ceiling like dainty snowflakes. The overtaking aroma of sweet biscuits, savory baked chicken, and homemade turnip greens makes your mouth water as if the food was right in front of you, and you haven’t even made it to the table yet. As youre guided to your seat you are entranced by the walls, covered fro top to bottom in classic Americana, old washboards, tobacco signs, old coke signs. Before you know it you’ve made it to your table, made from solid wood, you can feel the grain as you run your fingertips over the top of the table. as the waitress takes your drinks, you realize how much of a “Down Home” country feel the place gives you. The large fire place in the central area of the room warms you, makes you feel at home. The warming atmosphere of Cracker Barrel is one that’s hard to find, and is greatly enjoyed by many.

Theres nothing like a cold glass of cracker barrel sweet tea. The mellow and sweet taste makes it hard for thw waitrss to keep up with your refills. A appetizer of of cornbread is a must. The warm, golden topped cornbread starts your meal off with an amazing taste. A small spread of butter seeps slowly into the moist golden bread. As you partake in your second or third you realize that you better save room for your actual entrée. So while you wait for it you bplay the classic peg triangle, Adding even more the amazing experience.
