process appraisal. These appraisal methods include the CMMBased

Appraisal for Internal Process Improvement and the

Software Process Assessment. However, such appraisals are

expensive and time consuming; so many small and medium sized

companies find it difficult to perform them frequently [4].

The primary objective of this paper is to encourage the

SMEs to undertake software process improvement and provide

them the required skills, process and expertise that fit to their

organization's size and situation.
