Barney

My dear friend of mine has always made me very happy. He always found a way to put a smile on my face. I now watch my two younger children enjoy him to the fullest. While he has put a smile on their faces with his songs and lessons and his dances, he always made the children around the world very happy. He is a reptile but not your ordinary reptile. He is small dinosaur and when you use your imagination he becomes a live purple dinosaur. His structure is about 7 feet tall and he has a green belly with a purple outline of his body that makes him very handsome. My dear friend is Barney the dinosaur and he always knows how to put a smile on my face on my face then and now he continues to bring happiness to my little girl Rosie and my little boy Alekai.

When I was a child I didn't live with a lot of people in the household. I only live with my grandma who I call mom. She had always cared for me as long as I can remember. She was a strict and caring woman. She always strove to give me the best of everything that she could. But there was always something missing from that small initial family. Barney was given to me when I was about 6 to 7 years old as a birthday present. Barney was always around to either give me a smile or just simply to tell me "I love you". My mom wasn't very good at giving hugs or kisses. She was a strict sort of sour mom, but she always strove to give me everything then until and now. My dear Barney would make me happy when I sad or lonely.

He would show us how to count and learn various things with different objectives on using our imagination. Using imagination can helps us free what going on in true life, making us forget our problems. It also makes us have fun and sort of forget your fears and worries. Using your imagination created different places; for example going to castle land or just imagining different stories and people. Barney would play pretend with different games and lesson and also various types of songs like Mr. Sun, Candy Drop Of rain, and his most famous song, I love you, which was popular then as it is now.

As I continued to grow into a teenage year my life would be even stranger. The kids at school would make fun of my best friend. They would say that if you believe in Barney that was baby stuff. So I never told anyone at school about him for I would be judged. I would overhear conversations about how Barney was for babies and that he was just dead. Saying those words made me very sad because he always brought me joy and happiness for long periods of time. I would say to myself that wasn't true. Then I would go everyday home from to school to sit and enjoy him for hours with his show. I would play with him every day for hours until I went from a child to a young
