Dear Mrs. Sandhu:

As I greatly appreciate you and your family choosing International Weddings Inc. as the organizer of your daughters’ weddings, I apologize for the technical issues that happened with the audio-visual part of the ceremony. Moreover, I completely understand the impact this incident and the various other incidents have had on you and your valuable guests. Therefore, I have enclosed a cheque for $17,520.00 with this letter. This is a refund of the full remaining balance of the wedding cost after the supplier costs were deducted.

First of all, we take full responsibility for the issues with the audio-visual system operation during the ceremony that prevented most guests from hearing clearly and the one-minute silence. One of our employee’s overconfidence in the operation of the equipment resulted in these issues. To ensure this kind of situation will not happen again, we will provide more training and examinations to our technicians in key positions and make sure they are fully able to operate the audio-visual system in various circumstances. Additionally, we will provide our most skilled technicians for the three weddings of your other daughters.  Therefore, you do not have to worry about the technical issues anymore.

Secondly, Gurjeet falling off the horse was an accident, and we feel bad about that. As you know, we originally prepared a well-behaved gelding for Gurjeet at first. However, since both you and Gurjeet requested a large stallion instead of the gelding, and since Gurjeet assured us he was an expert horseman, we decided to use the stallion. Since this stallion is sometimes hard to control, I arranged a groom to hold the stallion for Gurjeet for his safety consideration. The horse was well-behaved in the rehearsal but went out of control on the day of the wedding when Gurjeet pushed away the groom and kicked the horse. For clients who request stallions for future events, we have decided to use a company that specializes in stallions to reduce the possibility of this kind of accident. Moreover, we will provide detailed safety instructions for every horse rider.
