Equal opportunity means treating every human being alike and allowing them access to any service regardless of gender, nationality, age, ethnic group, religion or disability. Everybody deserves the right to be treated equally. A successful society must make full use of its citizen's talents. It is of utmost importance that every child is seen as an individual and helped to feel proud of his/her own identity and to feel like a valued member of the community . Montessori movement is a global community; therefore providing equality of opportunity is about recognising and commending children differences. Most Montessori settings are truly international ,with children ,parents and teachers from all range of cultural materials to reflect the different nationalities present within it, and this should be reflected in its equal opportunities policy. ."Once a Part of the school, each child must be treated equally .with all sections of the community presented in positive and non-discriminatory manner".

Enhancing the quality of young children's lives is now a national and international priority, expressed through research and policy initiatives, programme development and advocacy. Improving early childhood education and care is a major theme. "The opportunities for learning identified within the framework formed the basis of an holistic approach for very young children, and focussed on caring for children as individuals .". A young child's physical, mental, social and emotional functioning is distinctively different from that of older children and adults, comprising distinctive phases, stages and milestones of development.
