The CASA case study implies that there are several formal networks being utilized. CASA is a non-profit agency, which means it could be funded through grants, federal or state funding, donations or fund raisers. The office managers have the responsibility to make certain everyone is performing their duties and also achieving their goals within the facility. The informal networks that the office manager has are the dealing with other homeless shelters. There may be instances where CASA is unable to assist a client and he or she can use their informal networks to find shelter for the client. They ensure that the clients have orderly and secure

CASA employs a case manager and four case managers. Responsibilities of the case managers are to make certain that the client's needs met. This is with formal and informal networking. CASA's case managers focus on the residents having access to several types of services such as: medical, dental and vision services as well as transportation to their jobs and worship services.

CASA also employs mental health professionals, which provide counseling of mental health patients. There are also individuals who give their time and talents at CASA. Volunteers are able to help formally and informally.

They provide mentoring services for residents in interpersonal skill development, self-sufficiency in providing for a family, and job interviewing skills. Volunteers also assist with recreational outings that CASA sponsors. The agency partners with area clothes and toy drives for the provisioning of residents' needs. (case study casa). Volunteers could possibly help informally by taking with a friend or family member to assist the client or resident in seeking a career opportunity.

Several different systems and agencies work together for the common goal of assisting the client meet his or her needs. Building of the informal networks and formal networks are key to assisting the clients.
