Did you ever wonder what our founding fathers envisioned for our country, or what they did to help our country? Well they made us the Bill of Rights to help the citizens of America to have freedom, right to bear arms, and the right to a fair trial. Without our founding fathers doing this for us, would you be living here today?

The first amendment lets us have the freedom of religion, speech, and the right of petition. We can speak our own minds and be arrested for it. Some countries out there don't even have all of the freedoms we have here in America. Take Russia for an example, they don't have the freedom of speech, so why would anyone want to live there? Would you want to live there and not be able to sick up for yourself or maybe even a friend?

The second amendment lets us have the right to bear arms. What does it really mean? Does it imply that there should be a gun in every house, or a general right to defend yourself? It means that we are allowed to use standard firearms to hunt and protect our families. Take Australia for example, the citizens can't even own their own guns to protect themselves. Without it we would have an anarchy in the streets, the criminals would still have guns, and violent crime would rise.

The sixth amendment lets us have the right to a fair trial. It lets everyone in America to have a fair trial both criminal and civil cases. If we didn't have this right, do you think more people would go to jail?

Freedom is free by living in America. If it wasn't for our amendments, our land won't be called the land of the free. That is why so many people come here, each and every day, to get what they all hope for.
